Looking for roll and write games that are fun and promote proper number formation in the classroom?

Then my Differentiated Roll and Write Number Formation resource is for you!

My students love roll and write games, but most resources don't reinforce correct number formation.

That's why I decided to create this template to help your emerging mathematicians master number formation during roll and write!

Roll and Write Game Features

  • 3 different formats, each 4 levels of differentiation + pages for number 7-12 (when using 2 dice)
  • 12 unique, double-sided roll and write boards with numbers 1-12
  • Clear, easy to follow tracing guides
  • Simple directions and printing instructions for your roll and write games
  • Intentional visual guides for young learners

Roll and Write Game Includes

  • Format 1 - dice images
  • Format 2 - counting fingers
  • Format 3 - ten frames
  • All templates offer pages for number 1-6
  • Includes a printable back side with numbers 7-12
  • 4 levels of differentiation for each format
    • Level 1 - tracing numbers throughout the rows
    • Level 2 - starting dots with minimal tracing lines
    • Level 3 - starting dots only
    • Level 4 - initial number format reference, empty boxes for students to free form numbers

Teacher Tip

Write out numbers 1-16 on a page and place it inside of a dry erase pocket.

Write out numbers 7-12 on a separate page and place it on the other side.

Teach students how to place the roll and write games with 2 dice for an extra challenge and additional practice!
